ACA - Internal Portal Design Refresh & Rebuild
AAA Clubhouse Alliance (ACA), a division of AAA, offers unique discounts and travel and shopping experiences exclusively to AAA members. Citro is proud to work with numerous AAA clubs in Pennsylvania and was excited to partner with ACA on the redesign, rebuild, and content migration of their internal portal.
The Challenge
ACA needed a more simplified and modern way of hosting internal information for members to access their hub. They were operating under an older version of the Kentico CMS, so we needed to migrate all of their existing content and assets into Kentico Xperience 13 as well as complete a full redesign, which included many internal integrations and complex user roles. A critical component of this migration was to develop a robust search across more than 20,000 assets that are utilized daily.
Our Solution
We set out on a strategic approach identifying all the complexities of the site, identifying the tens of thousands of pages and discussing overall user-experience expectations. Our team modernized the design and overall menu system to make navigation simple on the user side and server side where the data is stored. We implemented Algolia as the AI-powered search engine to help users find what they were looking for quickly and redeveloped the way that they handled user administration.
The Results
This project was no small task, but with a lot of design and development bagic, the end result was easier workflow and content updating, file storage, and overall functionality—not to mention a more appealing design for users.
A note from the developer
We migrated a ton of content from their portal that was being run on an older version of Kentico. We updated the overall layout and navigation of the portal to make information much easier to find. We also spent time with their team, walking them through the newer Kentico environment and showing them how simplified the workflow is when updating content. Overall, this project was a huge success.
